(April 1, 2019) - The West Haven boys tennis team opened the 2019 campaign with a 4-3 victory over Shelton at Painter Park in West Haven Monday afternoon.

In singles action, top-seeded Joseph Delgado defeated Christian Ripke 6-1, 7-5, and second-seeded Zach Kerzner topped Josh Hunter 6-4, 6-3. Shelton's Adam Rossetti defeated Punavasan Gurani 6-1, 6-0 in the third slot, and Hritish Bhargava topped West Haven's Anthony Sihaphong 6-3, 6-3 in the fourth slot.
In doubles action, West Haven's top seed of Riyad Al-Bakri and Nash Noble defeated Spencer Hatfield and Owen Corbett 6-3, 6-4, while Shelton's Suhaas Nadella and Archit Bhargava topped West Haven's Jason Ramirez and Lucien Zheng 6-1, 6-1. Third-seeded Awaab Osman and Ron Wood topped Carson Rhodes and Jeff Lim 6-7, 6-1, 7-6.

WH falls to Branford 6-1

(April 2, 2019) - The West Haven boys tennis team fell to 1-1 on the 2019 season with a 6-1 loss to Branford in Branford Tuesday afternoon.
West Haven's only victory came in singles play as top-seeded Joe Delgado defeated Praneeth Ganedi 6-3, 3-6, 10-4;
Branford took home the rest of the matches on the day as Eli Hanlon topped Zach Kerzner 6-0, 6-2 in the second slot, Dan Mcguire defeated Punavasan Gurani 6-0, 6-1 as the third seed, and fourth-seeded Paul Riccio topped Anthony Sihaphong 5-7, 6-3, 6-4.
In doubles action, top-seeded Dan Pagliaro and Kurt Schalper defeated Riyad Al-Bakri and Nash Noble 6-3, 6-4, second-seeded Jaden Andresen and Josh Berdon topped Jason Ramirez and Lucien Zheng 6-1, 6-4, and third-seeded Wes Raymond and Jason Hackett defeated Awaab Osman & Ron Wood 7-5, 6-2.
North beats West
WH falls to North Haven 5-2

(April 9, 2019) - The West Haven boys tennis team fell to 1-2 on the season with a 5-2 loss against North Haven Tuesday afternoon in West Haven.
In singles play, top-seeded Joseph Delgado defeated Nick Christante 8-6, and second-seeded Zach Kerzner topped Max Petruzziello 8-2.
North Haven took home the rest of the matches as Matt McCarthy defeated Anthony Sihaphong 8-5 in the third slot, and Matteo Franco beat Abdul Mohamednoor 8-1.
In doubles play, North Haven's top seed of Quinn Dallai and Tanner Powell topped Riyad Al-Bakri and Nash Noble (WH) 8-0, second-seeded. Ben Rudikoff and James Barra defeated West Haven's Jason Ramirez and Lucien Zheng 8-3, and third-seeded Chase DiCarlo and Matt Labanara topped Awaab Osman and Ron Wood 8-4.

(April 10, 2019) - The West Haven boys tennis team improved to 2-2 with a 4-3 victory over Notre Dame Wednesday afternoon at the University of New Haven.
West Haven took home all the victories in singles play, while Notre Dame controlled doubles action.
Top-seeded Joe Delgado defeated Oliver Shannon 6-2, 6-3, second-seeded Zach Kerzner topped Matt Wyckliffe 6-4, 6-0, third-seeded Anthony Sihaphong beat Ethan Wicko 6-1, 6-4 and fourth-seeded Jon Saier topped Miles Ligon 6-1, 6-1.
In doubles play Notre Dame's top seed of Brendan Canning and Pranaov Kuraganti defeated Jason Ramirez and Lucien Zheng 6-1, 6-4. Jack Jannitto and Justin Pollio topped Awaab Osman and Ron Wood 6-0, 6-2, while Alex Cruz and Sai Vippara defeated Brian Garzon and Ben Sager 6-3, 6-2 in the third slot.

(April 16, 2019) - The West Haven boys tennis team won its third straight match and improved to 4-2 with a 7-0 victory over Platt Tech in Milford Tuesday morning.
In singles play, top-seeded Joe Delgado defeated Tyler Bernard 8-0, second-seeded Zach Karzner defeated Jake Lopez 8-2; third-seeded Anthony Sihaphong topped Keaton Jalbert 8-1, and fourth-seeded Jon Saier defeated Michael Cropley 8-0. Fifth-seeded Abdul Mohamednour topped Lucas Innis 8-1.
In doubles play, top-seeded Nash Noble and Lucien Zheng defeated Spencer Imartino and Joston Lecleres 8-3, while second-seeded Jason Ramirez and Ron Wood topped Josiah Cartagena and Ian Valeta 8-0.

(April 23, 2019) - The West Haven boys tennis team fell to Amity 7-0 Tuesday afternoon in Woodbridge. With the loss, the Westies fell to 5-3 on the season.
In singles play, Amity's top seed of Brett Gloria defeated Joe Delgado 6-1,6-1, second seed Ira Einbinder topped Zach Kerzner 6-0,6-2, third seed Chris Bullers defeated Anthony Sihaphong 6-0,6-0, and fourth-seeded Ben Schiff topped. Jon Saier 6-0,6-0.
In doubles play, Max Dragon and Evan Arovas defeated Nash Noble and Riyad Al-Bakri 6-1,6-2, Jon Schachter and Akil Rajendran topped Jason Ramirez and Lucien Zheng 6-0,6-7,10-6, and Dominick Harris and Liam Tassiello defeated Awaab Osman and Ron Wood 7-5,6-2.

(April 24, 2019) - The West Haven boys tennis team dropped to 5-4 with a 4-3 loss against Jonathan Law in Milford Wednesday afternoon.
In singles play, top-seeded Joe Delgado defeated Sanskar Shah 6-0, 6-1, second-seeded Adarsh Sentilnathan of Law defeated Zach Kerzner 6-4, 6-2, Law's third seed Dan Folloni (L) defeated Anthony Slhaphong 6-1, 6-2, and Law's fourth seed of Anish Sikhinam defeated Abdul Mohamednour 6-0, 6-2.
In doubles action, top-seeded Riyad Al-Bakri and Nash Noble defeated Law's Brian Zirkel and Julien Roy 7-5, 6-3, while second-seeded Jason Ramirez and Lucien Zheng topped Law's. Marcello Silva and Pardhip Nair 7-5, 6-4. Law's Berat Genc and Angel Santiago defeated Awaab Osman and Ron Wood 7-5, 2-6, 7-6 in the third slot.

(April 29, 2019) - The West Haven boys tennis team snapped a two-match losing streak and improved to 6-4 with a 4-3 victory over cross-town rival Notre Dame Monday afternoon at Painter Park in West Haven. With the victory, the Westies swept the regular season series from the Green Knights.

(May 2, 2019) - The West Haven boys tennis team won its second match in its last three decisions with a 7-0 victory over Wilbur Cross Thursday afternoon in New Haven. With the victory, the Westies improved to 7-5 on the year.
In singles play, top-seeded Joe Delgado defeated Thea Ranelli 6-1, 6-1, second-seeded Zach Kerzner defeated Sonny Phouadara 6-0, 6-1, third-seeded Anthony Sihaphong defeated Jayden Rivera 6-0, 6-0, and fourth-seeded Punarvasan Gurani topped Valentina Rodriguez 6-0, 6-0.
In doubles play, top-seeded Nash Noble and Lucien Zheng topped Sofie Wilson and Nile Lee 6-3, 6-0, second-seeded Jason Ramirez and Ron Wood defeated Yerenis Lopez and Trey James 6-0, 6-0, while third-seeded Awaab Osman and Benjamin Sager defeated Genayra Castro and Skyla Thomas 6-0, 6-0.

(May 6, 2019) - The West Haven boys tennis team fell to North Haven 6-1 Monday afternoon in North Haven. With its second loss in three matches, the Westies fell to 7-6 on the year.
West Haven's lone victory came in singles play as top-seeded Joe Delgado defeated Nick Cristante 8-6.
North Haven's Max Petruzziello defeated John Saier 8-6, Matt McCarthy defeated Anthony Sihaphong 8-2, and Matteo Franco defeated Punarvasan Gurani 8-4.
In doubles action, North Haven's Tanner Powell and Quinn Dallai topped Nash Noble and Riyad Al-Bakri 8-2, Matt Labanara and Ben Rudikoff topped Lucien Zheng and Ben Sager 8-2, and Laekhram Singh and Chase DiCarlo defeated Abdul Mohamednoor and Ahmed Mohamednour 8-0.

(May 7, 2019) - The West Haven boys tennis team fell to 7-7 on the year with a 4-2 loss to Shelton in Shelton Tuesday afternoon. The loss was West Haven's third in four matches.
West Haven's two victories came in single splay as top-seeded Joe Delgado defeated Christian Ripke 7-6 (8-6), 6-4, and second-seeded Zach Kerzner defeated Adam Rossetti 6-7 (5-7), 6-4, 6-1.
Shelton's Josh Hunter topped Anthony Sihaphong 6-0, 6-3, and fourth-seeded Hritish Bhargava defeated Jon Saier 6-0, 6-0.
In doubles play, Suhaas Nadella and Archit Bhargava defeated Riyad Al-Bakri and Punarvasan Gurani 4-6, 6-0, 7-6 (10-7), Spencer Hatfield and Owen Corbett topped Jason Ramirez and Lucien Zheng 6-3, 6-1, and the third match was not completed due to weather.

(May 15, 2019) - The West Haven boys tennis team got back to its winning ways with a 6-1 victory over Platt Tech in West Haven Wednesday afternoon. The victory snapped a four-match losing streak and helped the Westies improve to 8-9 on the year.
In singles play, top-seeded Joe Delgado defeated Justin Brunetti 6-0, 6-1, second-seeded Zach Kerzner defeated Jake Lopez 6-0, 6-2, while third-seeded Anthony Sihaphong fell to Tyler Bernard 6-0, 4-6, 6-0. Fourth-seeded Jon Saier topped Renzo Adaro 7-6, 6-2.
